Gray and greige paint colors

"Gray" splits into two practical buckets: cool grays (blue or violet undertone) and warm grays — also known as greige — which lean tan, mushroom, or pink. Pick the wrong undertone and a room that looked sophisticated in the chip will read cold, dingy, or oddly purple under your actual light.

The colors below are the grays and greiges we recommend most often: Agreeable Gray for warm-leaning open plans, Repose Gray for a slightly cooler take, Revere Pewter as the classic greige, plus the deeper charcoals when you want drama. LRV under 50 will read distinctly dark; above 60 reads as a light, airy gray.
