Shed paint calculator
A typical 8 × 12 ft garden shed has ~250 sq ft of paintable exterior wall and a ~100 sq ft roof. Two coats of exterior paint = about 2 gallons. Pre-built sheds usually arrive primed but unpainted — paint them within a few weeks of delivery before UV degrades the primer.

Use exterior paint, not "shed paint"
There's no special chemistry needed for sheds — any quality exterior acrylic paint works. Kompozit PRO Exterior in satin is durable and forgiving on textured siding.
Don't forget the trim and door
A contrasting trim color (window casing, door, fascia) adds character. About a quart of trim paint covers a typical shed. Use semi-gloss on the door for cleanability.
